Since 1991, Glenhurst have designed and built a multitude of Mechanical Services within the construction industry and directly for end user clients.
Glenhurst have been employed in a whole variety of sectors from classic historic houses to high end London retail.
Primarily designing, procuring and installing LPHW heating, hot and cold water services, plumbing, ventilation and air conditioning, other complimentary facilities such as, air and ground source heat pumps, sprinkler systems, automatic control systems, foam dry risers etc. have been installed, utilising specialist sub-contractors.
The built environment is Glenhurst’s area of expertise and we have a wealth of knowledge to be consulted upon, with advice on any design and build or pre-designed services project, that may arise.
From the outset, Glenhurst’s sole aim, is to deliver every project on time, on budget, but most importantly to the entire satisfaction of the employer. With Director level involvement, to the skilled and experienced site and office staff employed, co-operation, advice and a “can do” attitude toward the tasks encountered, mark Glenhurst’s style. A “few” Cast Iron Radiators, recently stripped out and ready for collection, by specialist radiator restorers.
After disconnecting all sections, shot blasting, reassembling with new seals, pressure testing and powder coating, the majority will be reused for the new installation. Re-cycling at its best…….
Heat pump plantroom nearing completion.
Glenhurst commence a comprehensive strip out, of all Mechanical Services within a Berkshire Country Manor, to facilitate the design and reinstallation of a new system.
Another unjointed, pre-insulated pipe installation, awaiting sand bed and backfill by Main Contractor.
Recently supplied and installed in a boy’s WC.

Completed and functioning new plantroom, insulated to Client specification in Isogenopac.
Despite months of rain and bad weather, in co-ordination with the Main Contractor, who rapidly excavated the trench, Glenhurst laid the pre-insulated twin Heating and HWS F&R pipework and Mains CW, between Farmhouse and new Barn construction, where the plantroom is housed. All work was completed in a few days to allow backfill and continued access throughout the site.
First fix plumbing commenced and progressing, in a fabulous total refurbishment and extension, to this luxury house. We look forward to our continuing part of this great project.
Spectacular new house, extensively air conditioned, for repeat customer. Heating and cooling concealed AC units, connected by insulated rigid and flexible ductwork, to custom made and finished ceiling diffusers.
A number of the Glenhurst team, trained and certified for the installation of below ground, pre-insulated distribution mains.

Photos show a third of the GSHP pipe array, laid by Oxon Energy, in extensive ground works by Owlsworth IJP, both for heat gain from the ground and collective trenching to the plant room, where Glenhurst pick up from Oxon’s installation”.
New Barn Construction, weather tight and ready for internal, first fix commencement.
Started first fix, pipe-in-pipe services distribution pipework, on GF slab, ready for floor insulation followed by Underfloor Heating. Particular care has been taken to separate hot and cold pipes, to avoid any possible unwanted warming of cold water services.

Following discussion, advice and negotiation, Glenhurst have won a prestigious Mechanical Services Contract for a house, barn conversion and extensive garaging in Marlow, Oxfordshire.
The Client required an innovative design with heat source from bore hole fed, ground source heat pump, utilising underfloor heating, HWS generation, boosted cold water, acoustic SVP plumbing, whole house ventilation and main area air conditioning. Glenhurst are delighted to have been selected for this substantial contract, local to us in Marlow, where previous projects have included, Marlow Rowing Club and Danesfield House Hotel.
Glenhurst have been appointed as the Mechanical Services Contractor on a major Farmhouse upgrade and Barn conversion in Nettlebed, Oxfordshire.
The project for a private Client involves LPHW heating, HWS, CWS, ventilation plumbing and drainage. An extensive array of pre-insulated heating and hot water services, run from the plantroom underground to distribution points throughout the construction site. Glenhurst will co-ordinate with fellow contractors, directly employed by the Client, installing swimming pool and ground source heat pump utilising plant equipment and substantial, distribution lay in trench collector pipework.
Well, we clearly don’t have the expanse of services that this enterprising Company has, but look at the extensive services we do offer, in all the various areas we work in!

“Glenhurst successfully finish their first 5k”
On one ongoing contract alone in St. Albans, Glenhurst have installed an incredible 5250m of varied sizes of copper tube, ranging from 15mm to 76mm diameter, with a value of some £25000!!!
Over progressing phases, the copper tube has been used to serve LPHW, hot and cold water services, using both soldered and press-fit joints and fittings.

Glenhurst appointed to remove and replace entire redundant air conditioning system for repeat Client in Kensington home. The 2 week intense programme, was completed on time, for the Client visit, immediately following Football World Cup Final in December.
Glenhurst win tender to design, supply and install, whole house air conditioning system to superb, new build house in Hampshire for Arab Prince. Discreet ducted installation, designed to integrate with interior design. Completed on programme for Clients 2021 visit.
Glenhurst win one of their largest contracts todate, for the complete supply and installation of all mechanical services, in this magnificent country mansion.
Set to run throughout 2020 and further, we are delighted to work with the whole construction team, design by SWP Consultants and the overall control by Fanshawe LLP the Project Manager. The detailed architectural design produced by Inskip Gee Associates and constructed by Owlsworth IJP, will without doubt provide a superb outcome. We are delighted to be included in the team involved with this prestigious project.
Glenhurst have commissioned a fully automatic sprinkler system (Standard BS9251:2014) to Ground Floor Café, 34 luxury apartments over 8 floors, 9th Floor Gym and Leisure facility and GF Cafe for The Forbury Hotel (Roseate House), in Reading.
The fully serviced apartments now have Sprinkler Protection to each individual area (some 150 sprinkler heads in total). This service, along with fully air conditioned and refurbished facilities, are designed, supplied and installed by Glenhurst.

Glenhurst have moved offices from Grove House Twyford, to Unit 2 Woodley Park Estate, just 3 miles away.
Originally, with Twyford Fire station located next door, the house became Solicitors offices, purchased by Glenhurst in 2006 and occupied until 2017, now converted into four luxury apartments.
Glenhurst are delighted, now to be in Woodley Park Estate, maintaining all the same contact details.
Following completion of the Power House renovation, at Marsh Court, Stockbridge, we are delighted and proud, to have been presented with this commemorative silver medal, for our efforts on the project. All mechanical services have been supplied and installed by Glenhurst. The Client showed their appreciation, for the effort and workmanship put into the renovation, by commissioning the Royal Mint to produce the Silver Medal and presenting to the individuals involved.
